my name is sam and i HATE the internet. i hate programming, i hate making websites, and i absolutely HATE bertholdt hoover. if you couldn't tell, those were all jokes. i wanted to make this website to store various things about me, as well as to serve as a portfolio for when i apply to college. i don't even know if this would be accepted as a portfolio but it does show off my chops so... good enough! read more about me by clicking on that button in the sidebar. lol.
current status tired but optimistic for the future. i've accepted the fact that my school gpa isn't everything and my very cool extracurriculars will be able to contribute to my chances of being accepted to colleges. btw i'm putting this here and not in the journal because it is quite quaint.
website status just working on the front page right now. i probably won't be finished with the whole website indefinitely due to the infinite nature of the journal and other stuff, but i wanna at least get the skeleton finished by monday. only pages up rn are this and the about me page.
what kinds of things will this website have?
there's a lot of stuff that i feel like archiving and/or showing to people that aren't my immediate family or close friends, so i'll probably put all that stuff onto this website. you can kinda get a feel for the content by looking at the navigation sidebar and seeing all the different buttons, but generally this website will be filled with a bunch of rambling. not like, terribly unorganized and not proofread ramblings. i'll actually look over what i'm writing to make sure that the quality is as high as it can be.
i also want to use this website as a way for me to get my views across. not only political views and the like, but also just my opinions of interpretations of media or even mundane things regarding the best brand of frozen food. basically, this is my baby. this is a baby that i will paint and write on and probably sew on a few extra limbs to, and i will cherish it with my life for as long as i humanly can. thus, even if this ends up not being suitable for a portfolio, i will continue to update this website until it is ripped away from me.

in terms of college, i'm planning on going down the pre-med pathway. if possible, i'd like to simultaneously major in either computer science, neuroscience, or biomedical engineering, but if not possible i'm totally fine with just getting pre-med as a degree itself. i'm also planning on applying to colleges such as hofstra, bay path, harvard, cornell, johns hopkins, maybe upenn, and probably mit. all of these are either reach or match schools.
quick disclaimer, basically none of the images on this page are legally mine, unless they're images that appear as if they have been taken by a camera. i'm not an artistic person (or at least, not anymore). the guy that's plastered all over the website is named bertholdt hoover and he's from attack on titan, if you didn't know that. i like him very much as a character, and thus he is all over my personal website. some other characters might be the theme of other very specific pages.
